Your Child’s First Visit at Children’s Dentistry of Coffee Creek

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends scheduling your child’s first visit by their first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth appearing.
What to Expect
When you arrive, you and your child are greeted by our front desk team, who will help you finish any paperwork needed for treatment. Our registered dental assistant then calls your child back to the clinical area to begin their exam.
During the exam we review your child’s medical and dental history so we have a full picture of their oral health, and take digital X-rays to catch anything not visible to the eye.
Afterward we clean the teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup — an essential part of every visit — and apply dental sealants or fluoride if they’re needed.
Most children’s checkups take about 30 to 45 minutes.
